Brow Lift

An attractive woman with auburn hairAzita Madjidi, M.D., M.S., P.A. performs browlift surgery at her Houston, Texas office.

When the low position of the brows contributes to hooding of the upper eyelids, a browlift may be the answer. One of the problems with sagging brows is that patients have to constantly lift their brows in order to better open their eyes. This causes transverse forehead lines to appear. Most patients are not aware of the eyebrow sag, called ptosis, until it is pointed out to them, by preventing them manually from raising their eyebrows.

Cheek Augmentation

A young woman with beautiful eyesFlat cheeks can result from weight loss, aging, disease or simply genetics. Cheeks may also be asymmetric due to asymmetric bony structure of the face or as a result of trauma or previous surgery. Augmenting cheeks alone, or during other facial rejuvenation procedures, contributes to a more youthful looking and harmonious face.

Chin Surgery

A young woman with a beautiful smileChin projection is an important factor in facial balance and aesthetics. In men and women, the chin can be altered to create a harmonious look to the framework of the face. If your chin has lost definition, chin surgery can help you reclaim a youthful jaw line contour.

Ear Surgery

A young man with chiseled featuresIf you have prominent or protruding ears that make you feel self-conscious, cosmetic ear surgery can place the ears into a more conventional position.

Prominent ear is a condition where the ear appears to stick out and look abnormal. It can be a source of emotional distress at school, especially in young children. Most of the time, the shape of the ear is otherwise normal, but sometimes prominent ears have other deformities such as the flatness of the anterior surface, excessively deep concha, or protruding earlobes. Houston plastic surgeon Dr. Azita Madjidi offers ear pinning, also called otoplasty, to patients of all ages, though mostly works to help children with prominent ears. Most of the ear growth is done by age seven. Otoplasty may be safely performed after this age.

Eyelid Surgery

Signs of aging can appear in both upper and lower eyelids, and may contribute to a tired or sad look. In the upper lids, excess skin creates folds or hides the natural contour of the upper eyelid. In the lower lid, bags, excess skin, and fine wrinkles are common aging features.

Facelift

A woman in a cable-knit sweaterIf you are bothered by sagging cheeks, deep creases below the lower eyelids, a loose lower face and neck, or irregular jaw line, you may be a candidate for a facelift. Facelift, also called rhytidectomy, treats most of the signs of aging on your face. One of the areas to which Dr. Madjidi has dedicated a major part of her training as a craniofacial surgeon, is the face. It is the first thing we see in a meeting, and a fresh, rested, and naturally young looking face is quite important.

Lip Surgery

Luscious lips are an important element in facial aesthetics. Thin lips may be the result of aging or just normal anatomy. With aging, the lips not only thin but also roll inward. Lip rejuvenation may require different options based on the anatomy of the lips, their relationship with the teeth during smile, and skin texture.

Rhinoplasty

a womanIf you are interested in reshaping your nose to better complement your facial features, rhinoplasty can give you a beautiful new appearance.

One of the areas that Dr. Azita Madjidi specializes in is the nose. "The nose is the central structure of the face, and its role is not to attract any attention. When you look at someone's face, attention should be focused on the eyes and not be diverted by the nose."

Dimple Creation

a happy brown-haired womanIf you would like to accentuate your facial features with a dimple, dimple surgery can give you this classic attractive feature.

Dimples over the cheeks can give a touch of cuteness to the face and are in general aesthetically pleasing. Naturally, they can appear only on one side or both cheeks, and be of various number and depth. They are natural adhesions between the skin and the deep muscles so when we smile and contract the muscles, the skin is pulled in. Most cheek dimples are not present at rest.

Mini Facelift

Mini facelift is performed similarly to a full facelift (tightening and repositioning loose muscle and skin), but targets only the lower portion of the face. For this reason, the minimally invasive technique Dr. Madjidi uses to perform the surgery offers a number of benefits, including minimized scarring and faster healing time. During surgery, our patients are carefully monitored by a board-certified anesthesiologist to ensure their safety and comfort.
