ThermiSmooth to improve skin elasticity

Houston plastic surgeon, Dr. Azita Madjidi uses ThermiSmooth to improve mild skin elasticity around the eyes, mouth, cheeks and neck. The device uses radiofrequency to gently deliver controlled heat to the skin surface. This will cause skin shrinkage and it feels like receiving a heat massage.

How is done?

Treatment is done in the office of Dr. Madjidi. A thin layer of gel is applied and with a probe, skin is heated to the level that it induces the skin to shrink and collage be produced over a period of time. Heat delivery is monitored for safety. Each areas is treated about 5 minutes. So a full face may take about 45 minutes to an hour. Three to four sessions are frequently needed for better result. Each session is about a month apart.

Who is a candidate?

Any patient with mild skin laxity around the eyes, above the eyebrows, upper lid and around the mouth is a good candidate for this non-invasive procedure. If you have other treatments in the same areas, such as Botox in the crow’s feet area or a filler in the laugh lines, you need to wait about two weeks to get ThermiSmooth in the same areas to tighten the skin.

Recovery and Results

Improvement is gradual and is spread over a period of time. There is no down time.
